One With Nature

I decided to walk down the country side

That sweet summer evening

I seldom left the house

But, I wanted to see

What nature had to offer

To a couch potato like me.

And oh! What wondrous beauty did I see

The sun setting in the distance

Where the Earth meets the sky,

In awe I stood at that instant

An orange glow it

One spread around

Never had I witnessed, a scene so brilliant.

And in that moment,

The birds chirped in the trees

I sat beside a lake

delighted by the evening breeze

I could smell the fragrant Earth

And in that lake, my reflection I could see

From ear to ear I smiled happily

Mother nature brought me peace.
