Sweet And Salty
Sweet And Salty
Can't remember when I last cried
All emotions inside me have dried
Wrung out like sugar cane bagasse
Through various stages of life
Now only rains are witness to my tears
Don't want others to see my weak side
Whenever there is a cloud burst
I rush outside and cry my heart out
Sweet pure rain mixes with salty tears
Nobody has a clue to what's up
Old woman with mannerisms of a child
Seems strange, getting wet outside
They don't know it's a camouflage
They don't know it's an outpouring of
Anger, sorrow, grief, they cannot gauge
Its depth, weight, volume, capped inside
They think I must be eccentric
I let them believe what they think
Days are numbered so care the least
Will be gone like a cloud-driven by death
