A Blur Memory

A Blur Memory

Every day, sitting in my rocking chair,

With no one around me, except myself,

Some blur images start picturing in front of my eyes,

For which I wish, we're only an imagination rather than a real memory!

A series of blur images start queuing, making up a story,

A story where I, a twelve-year-old girl and my beloved mother,

Had gone for a beautiful picnic, of which,

Ten years have passed away, still, I live this story every day!

The day, 18th of November, we set out to make a memorable day,

Making an outskirt area of a forest, our picnic destination,

Full of greenery and colorful blooming flowers,

A perfect place to feel the unbelievable nature!

Reaching there, we relaxed and had some food and drinks,

Before the dark night entered, we took so many pics,

Played so many games and laughed so much,

Walked through the wet grasses, hand in hand, with love!

Soon the darkness of late evenings surrounded us,

And as we were going to spend the night there,

With nature, watching the beautiful night sky,

We stretched ourselves down there on the wet grasses bed!

As the night grew darker, I started shivering,

The cold weather started freezing us,

My mother thought for some time, for something,

And concluded that a small bonfire would be a good idea!

Deep from the Forest, wood was needed to be collected,

My brave mother decided to go, having no experience,

It was dangerous for her to go, she knew,

But she had made up her mind to protect me!

She was all ready and I stood up, held her hand,

And said emotionally, "Please come back soon, mom. I love you!"

My mom smiled and said that she too loved me,

Tears started filling both our eyes, but hid them!

Finally, she went inside the Forest and I sat there,

Waiting for her to return back soon,

Time started flowing and I, panicking,

In the dark, all alone in the silent night!

Waiting and waiting, I closed my eyes,

Dozed off there itself to sleep,

Then after what happened, I don't know,

Except that my beloved mother never returned back to me!
