Ode To A Beacon

Standing atop solitude, lighting the tempests.

Shoring floating hopes of a lonely sailor.

 

Burning over fears, rising beyond depths.

Guiding rocking oars of a broken dream.

 

Holding onto doubts, turning violent winds.

Shattering mounting destiny of a lost soul.

 

Guarding against fate, standing firm in perils.

Surfacing sounding cheers of untempered hopes.

 

It's my insignia of light that stands and burns to get me ashore.

It's my sentinel that holds and guards my life's treasures.

It's my urn of fire that shall keep my ashes burning forever.
