Coffee Cup

As I sit next to the window,

Galaxies form in my coffee cup

My mind wanders off to the parallel universes

To the stars that shine like jewels in the night sky

To the darkness that lies beyond this material world

To the infinities of this universe

To the negativity that the black hole sucks in

To all the facts that I'm oblivious to

To the curiosity that echoes all around

And to the silence that fades in

As I crawl back into reality.
