The Doomed Palace
The Doomed Palace
The pillars so high, glaring high
High towards, unadorned sky
Intricately carved with golden petal
Surrounded by gates of shiny metal
The walls are high, reaching the sky
Vibrant with multitudinous pristine dye
Beyond the door of woods, what lies!
The mammoth beauty of seven skies
Inside as you step, as you see around
Spectacular beauty, spellbound!
On the painted walls, glitter abounds
The grandeur of Palace; nowhere be found
With this beauty was woven a morbid gloom
In the sunny garden, sun-filled flume
Queasy silence had all consumed
Not a single flower, a single one bloomed
The ivy that sat at the window sill
Gazing the path, unmoved and still,
Awaiting prisoners; abandoned, marooned,
What is left behind is, the palace doomed!
