The gods were at war,
Fighting for days,
On a bloody battlefield,
Kali raged,
In heaps and mounds the bodies lay,
The ground around wet with blood,
An awful, sickly, sticky flood,
The goddess danced,
With lagging tongue,
She would kill everyone,
The hands of her enemies,
Around her waist,
Her anger would not fade or abate,
Every tree and rock was stained,
As splattering blood fell like rain,
The infidels were dead and slain,
Behind her corpses littered the plains,
A living terror, enraged and insane,
The deity could not be tamed...
