My Sky

My Sky

2 mins
513

Trapped in a wayward world

I try to fly in an endless sky

Freedom is what I believe is my right

So I began to fly

Repetitive was my glory

Repetitive was my freedom of a lie.

I wondered if someone had orchestrated it all

I wonder if someone has lied.

I was surrounded by clouds

My head trapped

In all that silent sound

I was on an all-time high.

And I continued to fly

The glory of achieving

The glory and my pride,

Cut beyond any agonizing lies.

The sky was not my limit,

It was a restriction to my time.

Faltered then my wings

Faltered than my glides.

Trapped were my wings

Because of pride and supremacy

I wondered who had orchestrated this whole lie

I didn’t have the sky

My wings were lent to me

And that began another many lie.

I didn’t have any freedom, to begin with,

And I thought I could fly!

Trapped in the clothing of gold and silver

I suffocated,

In a cage finished with golden snakes

I wonder who has hissed in my life.

But then, Gust of wind spoke towards me

Enchanting me of my rights

I trembled with excitement

Letting go of doubts

I was the being of the sky

My right was to fly

And so I broke down the cage,

I had no wings to fly

But I had my sky.

So I ran down a beaten road

Naked of any gold and silver

Wind caressing my fears

Feet knocking on the gravel

Oozing were my scabs with blood,

Yet I didn’t cry.

True freedom was not just my sky

It was just a simple secret delight,

Freedom of my own thoughts, freedom of my own life.

Yes, I truly learned to fly.
