The Onion Princess
The Onion Princess
Into this alluring world; I was born a she,
Covered in blood; eyes of tears; a loud cry,
I took my first breath; I still live doing the same,
Till my last; I fear!
Was it my fault or is it my weakness?
That I dare to understand, I dare to forgive,
I dare to forget, I dare to sacrifice,
Yet I am condemned of being human; will I ever rise?
Or remain a piece of meat?
For as long as I live; I fear!
I was born bare but dignity was mine,
Until I was stripped off my pride;
Laid down by you; torn apart,
Shredded into mere pieces; and now I live to die,
For I am numb and cannot feel more,
Yet, to the world I serve,
I am a daughter, a mother, a slave, a whore,
I wish to keep my pride; why is it so wrong?
I cried then; I cry now,
Until my day comes,
Unleashing the wrath, from my agonizing core,
I will be your end,
And there will be no more!
