Betterment

Life gets tough,

It knocks you down,

You see everyone running endlessly

Ahead, so much faster, so much better.

And you here, with a bruised leg and a broken soul,

With a burned out heart,

mind cluttered,

eyes drained,

Yet still you are here,

When everybody has reached their goal ,

When you gave your all,

When you fought to run,

Until the fire smoked away,

Yet still here you are

Bruised,

Broken,

But not yet defeated,

Still near the starting line,

Still reached nowhere.

And there are so many cameras flashing

So many cctvs looking at your loss,

People mocking you,

Laughing at you,

In the end even if you get up, this all gets to you.

You try to smile but you aren't happy,

You never will be until you run the race.

But you are afraid,

Afraid you will fall again, afraid they will see, afraid they will mock

But what you really should be afraid of,

That they broke your will, to run again

To see the world,

To see yourself standing in front of the mirror

And not see an enemy but a friend .

Stop trying to beat yourself,

The world is really good at that job

Stop trying to pull yourself down and get bruised

Because negativity is good at that,

Stop trying to look at all the other running ahead ,

Because there is no point .

Stop trying to live in a fantasy,

When you are meant to live the reality .

Take every fall as your rise,

Take every failure as your victory,

Run till you fall down, don't stop there,

Get up again,

Run,

Not from the fear but towards your goals,

You can always do better and

Nobody,

Nobody shall ever steal that from you,

But,

Only you can do that,

Only you can stop yourself from being better.
