An Artist In Love

 I found in you the treasure of my art,

I found the sea of words in your eyes,

I found my poems rhyming on your hair,

I found my stories lurking in your heart,

I found my imagination awake in your bosom,

I found you and that’s everything.

I hear your breath, how musical it is,

I hear you speak, like whispers of wind,

I hear you blink on melodious notes,

At last I hear your silences, they are noisy.

Be my music, oh my lyrical sweet,

Be my art; I found you.

I wonder your nose, so sharp and steep,

I wonder your forehead, restlessly deep,

I wonder your arms, so amorously plain,

I wonder, oh wonder you are lady sane,

Be my sculpture engraved to life,

Be my art; I found you.

I’ll take the colours of your cheeks and paint,

I’ll paint the kindness with it with kindness, 

Take some from your chin and paint,

I’ll paint the sea roses and mountains,

Will take some from your eye-lids and create,

Create the rivers and meadows. 

Be my masterpiece, oh girl!
