Escaping Reality

We are lost in the midst of reality,

And the world we have created in our mind.

Watching the sufferings with our naked eyes,

Yet pretending to be blind.

Torn between the truth and our fantasies,

Trying to repel the pain,

Stuck in the labyrinth of grief,

Still convincing ourselves that everything is sane.

But the shell we have wrapped ourselves in,

Can't hide us from the truth for long,

And one day we have to let go of our fantasies,

And come out, bold and strong.
