Mother

Mother is such a simple word yet a special one,

People saw God in the temple,

But I saw God in you,

I don't know how God looks?

But if someone wants to know,

Then I would definitely tell you.

Even God says," I'm after Mother and Guru."

You are so gentle yet so strong,

You are patient when I'm foolish,

You are the centre of our home,

Fixed like a radius of a circle!

Your love protects me day after day,

Your love is like a pearl in the ocean,

I'm fearless and always safe and strong,

I can do anything when you are around me!

You taught me right from wrong,

And pushed me to do the right thing,

Even though it was very hard to do so,

You had your rules fixed,

And I learnt to obey them well,

I learnt about love and care from you,

You are always my role model,

My life is simpler, better and happier with you!
