The Child

Have you read a child's face?
(It's) full of innocence and full of grace.
Simple, joyful, playful child,
Fearless, careless, truthful, mild,
Curious, courageous, lovable, kind,
Has a sense of wonder and a tender mind.
He peeps here and peers there, 
Does this and that without care.
Sometimes here and sometimes there,
To find him silent is very much rare.
He plays and plays without any say,
Learns the game of life in perfect gay.
An object of delight and appeals to all,
Arrests eyes and gets everybody's call.
How spontaneous is the smile on his lips!
How sweet are the words he speaks!
To enjoy life, be a child, O man!
Look the world in the eyes of a child.
How lovely is the little the Child-Angel!
Love it to live and love it well.
