Voiceless Heart

Years have gone by
Years will go by
I was quiet then!
I will be quiet now!
Silence speaks volumes..they say

If that is true, why could you not
listen to my mute voice and hear what
I have been trying to tell you

You are busy with life
Smiling through the pain,
I have been trying to do the same..in vain!

If that is true, why could you not
look into my bleeding heart and see
the suffering I have been going through

Say that you care!
Show that you are hurt!
Say that you are enraged!
They say...

I wonder..
You have become sightless
showing you would be useless
You have become unhearing
so why to say anything
You don't communicate!
I also refuse to articulate!
