Damsel In The Park
Damsel In The Park
Damsel in the park
In the wilderness, at dawn
While I was walking in the lawn
At a distance
I could see a beautiful damsel
With broad eyes and velvety eye lashes
Glancing at me with her brownish eye balls
Intensely waving her long ebony black hair
In the cool breezy morning
Early in the morning
As I was moving near,
The reddish pouching lips
Appeared as though they were seeking
It was not for long
That my heart started palpitating
For never in my life
I had seen someone so beautiful
I could not take off my eyes
From the figure waist thin
And my adrenalin started to rush.
My heart started beating fast
I could feel a chill
And unknowingly my steps
Started moving fast
At a pace never seen before
I started moving towards her
I could see she was standing still
As though she was waiting for me
As much as I thought I was made for her
And this could be perhaps the love
The love at first sight as what we generally see.
I approached her
Her eyes were peeping on me
I said hello, but she did not respond
I went close to her, to touch and feel
And found that was only a statue there
On which I could only stare
