Looks Can Deceive
Looks Can Deceive
Your eyes exude kindness and love
Your smile exudes innocence of a child
Your dimpled cheeks spell mischief
Your arched eyebrows a questioning look
Your voice maintained at soprano pitch
Your cleft chin like new lotus bud leaves
Fell in love with you, at once,
head over heels
Your swan-like neck turns with grace
Your collar bone are like strings of a violin
Your slender fingers shaped artistic
Your shoulders always so erect
Your spinal cord pencil line straight
Your physical assets; sum total nonpareil
But your heart another story tells.
Filled with pride consumes your time
Filled with ego no competition you like
Filled with self-obsession seek attention
Filled with rage at being bottom IQ level
Filled with envy at others success
Your outside just a beautiful facade
Past master at playing the charade
It took a while to discover the truth
Bit by bit like peeling an avacado
Till reaching the hard inner core
Undressed you cut a sorry figure
Thankfully twas not too late discovered
Wishing you better luck next time
You can pull off the bluff with another guy.
