The Fire Rages On...
The Fire Rages On...
The fire continues to rage on,
Through every field; through every lawn.
Animals rushing past,
Everyone is fleeing fast.
Aren't we even a bit ashamed,
For the fire rages on and it can't be tamed.
Only a tiny mistake, a tiny spark will do,
To create a fire so huge that away the animals went; away the birds flew.
The grass is scorching, the sky is red,
Many have died, many in bed.
The land of our own; the place of our birth,
Burned away, our precious Mother Earth.
Can't we do anything to stop the fire?
Or consequences we shall face, and that too dire.
A tiny amount of care,
A little attention here and there,
Can stop the burning of the land of our birth,
Our precious Mother Earth!
