The Breeze
The Breeze
She sways with grace, in her own pace
Wades on the waters, pranks with the leaves
A welcome treat in the sweltering heat
She embraces the land in her generous sweep
Caressing the flowers, she steals their scent
To carry along wherever she went
For the young at play in the fields all day
And the older ones they keep at bay
A cheerful friend to all alike
Goes whistling, singing along the dyke
On many a day when nature' s still,
The birds don't chirp, the weather's chill
And then she swirls in, bright and gay,
Brings in cheer, drives glòom away
The flowers and birds in whispers say
What a wonderful glorious breezy day!!
