A Poetic Heart

We write about the magnificent moon and blinking stars,

Comparing them to a lover's eyes and broken heart.

We encrypt our feelings deep inside mellow metaphors,

And smirk when people read them as mere words.

We personify a sinner's skin into temptation,

And kissing angels as a resurrection.

We weave and embellish crown from the rotten petals,

Till they shine brighter than diamonds and silver.

We pour poison from the ink of feathers and pen,

Just to leave the marks of magic running in the vein.

We listen the silence present in day light,

And the chaos of swaying trees at night.

We hum the hymns of dying warriors and goddesses,

And hark moaning of dark in the carcasses.

We don't have broken hearts and empty smiles,

But courage for we erupt emotion, every human hides.
