Death Upon The Soul

Death Upon The Soul

1 min
303

The flame that is within my heart,

Flickers fragile in the icy wind;

Struggling to survive from the very start,

As upon it now many have sinned.

The ocean residing behind those eyes,

Tries not to flood their shores;

But they run blood red whispering goodbye,

As bitter salt erodes right to the core.

The wounds from an arduous journey,

Cut right down to the bone;

As they cause an ache that's burning,

As a soul fades away all alone.

A soul is torn completely apart,

Until it no longer exists;

From a blind and wounded heart,

Thus for death, it no longer resists.
