The Baffled Soul
The Baffled Soul
A world full of faces, I don't even know,
I was asked to move on, put my show.
New, unknown to the race of rapacity,
I trusted honesty and simplicity.
It's earth where happy faces hide tears,
And love remains unreturned for years.
I gathered courage to counter the fear,
But the games played for life is queer.
Tired, bewildered, broken, I sat,
No means! No ideas! Questioned fate.
With a shattered strong soul I try,
Bury my inhibitions, explore my cry.
Never quit said my baffled soul, awing
Still dreaming and still promising.
There's no peak and sky I can't touch,
I am undaunted, God in me I search.
Oblivion to all the sad, unstoppable,
It's my prayer to the supreme, invisible.
And I go on forever to struggle,
For immeasurably nearer giggle.
