Faith
Faith
Somewhere between,
The carpet of thorns below,
And the clouds of fire above,
She still hopes for mercy,
She does crave for love.
Somewhere beneath,
The dark waters,
And the black wave that swirls,
She looked for the crystal drops,
She dared to hunt for pearls.
Somewhere within,
The lands of betrayal,
And the world of disguise,
She hopes to see a glimpse of trust,
In a pair of deep dark eyes.
Somewhere amidst the herds of fright,
And the crowds of fear,
She believes that the scary winds,
Will someday surely disappear.
Somewhere above,
The illumined clouds,
And the dark - dull skies,
She wishes to catch a flight,
Swifter than every bird that flies.
Somewhere away,
From marble castles,
And the temples of stone,
She will someday build,
A world of her own.
