A Lone Walk
A Lone Walk
A lone walk needs a lot of guts
And a lot of grit to sway away from the crowd
To discover some unknown path
At the end of which your true self resides
A lone walk is a daring walk
For you find no guide or mentor
At times it's dark, at times convoluted
But nonetheless a walk of worth
A lone walk doesn't make you alone
But makes you stand away from the throng
And gives you the opportunity to be the light
Of a new world that none have seen
A lone walk is a difficult one
Trying and tiring and lengthy
But a long walk builds your inner strength
To face the storm and sun's heat
A lone walk is a spiritual journey
Or a journey of passion in unchartered sea
Or a journey which people can only dream of
But the power possessed by only a few
A lone walk is a walk we need
To understand and describe; who are we,
And to be true self, not a mimeograph
A Survivor of reality, with a true victory
