Need Of The Hour

Molested, abducted by our own son,

Why can't a woman just wallow in the sun?

Exalt female deity as an idol,

Yet, female foeticide so idle?

Inhuman behaviour there and here,

Can't we women stand up to hear?

It's not about flats or high heel,

But that unending pain that fails to heal,

Judicial laws ought to be strict our,

Speak up for rights need of the hour,

Why so customary to tie a knot?

Ambitious, successful single why not?

Wantonness must end up in prison cell,

A girl is not an artifact to sell,

We all need to stand for not just one,

This battle with self first needs to be won.
