The Regret Of The Tree
The Regret Of The Tree
Somewhere the gelid man is fighting,
And yes the huffy soul is in peace,
This state is somehow biting,
The strongest root of trees will release,
And leave the soil forever in regret,
That it lived in such dark shade,
It will, the inhuman humanity, forget,
And reach a worthy lake and wade,
There it will cry for all its children,
Fighting for peace and teaching the blind,
It will tear apart its letter to the mighty written,
With its oath and its prospect to bind,
Yes war and peace kept
A little company yesterday,
But tonight the stars twinkling
Are wrapped in the sky so grey.
