Silent
Silent
One day I will be silent,
Muted like the Moana,
Dreary like the night
And no matter
Happens whatever,
I can’t be unmuted ever
And will be silent forever.
You will crave for my words,
But I will be at a loss of words,
Not for a moment but for yonks,
I will be longing to go backwards.
You will yearn for my warmth,
But I will be lying just like a sloth.
And one day, you will be
Longing for my speech,
But I will be speechless
And no matter how much you try
You will never get a reply.
One day I will be wordless
And I will be sleeping
Sleeping like a rock,
And lying like a log,
Without even turning
Readying for burning.
Today I am silent,
But it's something different,
Which I don't know if you understand,
But I hope you will understand
Someday before I slip,
From your hand
Like dry sand.
Who will you yell at,
When I will be silent,
Baby talk to me before
I sleep and you miss me forever.
Before I evanesce and disperse in the air.
Don’t wait for the day
When I will be bereft of speech
And sink into the abyss
Of the ocean where I can’t listen
To you neither will there be
any tool for communication
so that I can talk back and you can listen.
Life is short baby,
Talk to me, when I can hark
To your voice
Pay heed to your silence
Can whisper into your ears
Tell stories unknown
Can reply to your queries before
My lip gets tied forever.
