Think of a time where the whole world is quiet.

Everything is just crystal clear.

Everyone is asleep, except you.

It's just you and the darkness that surrounds you.

Imagine sitting in top of a building,

Looking at how different the world looks right now.

In this silence, you feel like you are loudest you’ve ever been.

You thoughts are screaming and everyone can hear it,

But you don’t care because you just love this darkness.

The dark makes you forget about all your worries.

Until the dawn at least.

You sit on top of the building and just admire the view.

You don’t want to speak, because your thoughts are doing it for you.

It’s just that no one can hear it.

Finally when all your thoughts are clear ,

Finally you feel like your thought actually make sense.

You just sit there staring at the stars thinking how lucky you are to live.

You just sit there and stare at the stars,

Finally realizing they are so beautiful and how much you would’ve missed if you had given up.

You keep staring at the stars until you realize it’s almost dawn,

But on this new day instead of acknowledging the bad things you notice the good ones.

You make sure to keep a smile on your face and also to make someone happy.

You still don’t like mornings but it doesn’t seem to be as bad as it was.

You still look forward to sitting on top the building tonight,

And let your thoughts scream out loud.

The dark makes you feel better.

You are a nyctophile and there is nothing wrong with it.

What could possibly go wrong with loving the dark.
