Break Of Dawn

It was the early years when the earth was just a kid,

The sun happened to see the moon and blew his lid.

He swirled around the earth and behind the moon,

They kept it going from night till noon.

For twenty nine days Selene would hide and be shy,

Then on the thirtieth day, Ra's love would shine bright in the night sky.

After an earthly year, there would come a time to makeup for the dearth,

For a brief moment the lovers would meet and darkness would fill the earth.

Then back again to their celestial chore,

Divine instructions they cannot ignore.

Smiling at each other until the night lights have gone,

Destined to cross paths at the break of dawn.
