Love for Ancestors
Love for Ancestors
Advanced are we technologically,
Say we empirically,
While all we make lousily!
Although we claim we know more
than our ancestors to the core;
We lost living all the more.
Ask a person about the beauty,
Girls, money, cars – would be the reply!
Ask a person about the grace,
Dance moves of that actor – would be the reply!
Ask a person about compassion,
The handshakes of the players – would be the reply!
Our ancestors hadn’t technology we have,
But they lived the life we would never have,
Ajanta, Ellora, Konark, Tanjore,
Beauty and grace in all their work!
Robot does all that is risky,
Risky were all about our ancestors' lives,
Yet they did what they did, for compassion!
We know not who our neighbour is,
Whole village were then a family!
We seldom give our seats to the elders in bus,
Our ancestors spoke not until they were asked!
We ask google to convert centimetre to metre,
Wearing just a loincloth, hands dirty
working on a soil so wet,
they had known more about the nature
than we ever will know!
