Evening whispers and sings it’s lullaby

To the fire on the horizon

Lighted children of the night

Come out to play

I sit watching, listening

As the orchestra of the heavens

Plays the music of my soul

The stars aligning themselves

In the spelling of your name

Across my night sky

For when I miss you

I but have to raise my eyes

Into this playground of wonder

And there I find you

Beautiful, more brilliant than

Any of these diamonds of light

You illuminate my world,

And with the heat of the sun

You breathe animation into my dreams

You alone are my Moon

My beacon in a sea of darkness,

My wonder of the night
