Leisure
Leisure
In my leisure I recall
The jingling of bells
Of ice- cream sellers,
The sweetness of the fragrance
Of beautiful flowers.
Splashing thru the puddles,
Making paper boats and
Sailing in the rain water.
It's amazing to imagine
The white whirls of water
From the waves of the sea.
Happiness of the chirping
Birds in the morn.
Love of a mother, to her child
Yet to be born.
In my leisure I recall
My laughter as a child
That lingers in my ears.
The fear of being wrong and
Trying to be right.
The fairy tales by mother,
Before sleep at night.
In my leisure I recall
My childhood friends and little pal.
Laughing at the times we fought
But also in tears, as I miss them all.
You bring my memories back to life,
Sometimes colourful 'n' black 'n' white.
