You Are Slowly Fading Away
You Are Slowly Fading Away
When you come out bathing
With the towel moulded
In your hair,
And as the curls
Cascade over your shoulder
Amazing beautiful you look
And when you
Remove the towel
And the wind brazes through
The unfurling of velvety slimy hair
As you twist from
One side to
To the other
Feels like
As if
A wave in the river
Has just passed through
Giving a sensuous feel
The glitter
Of the splash
That emerges
When the hair
Waves it through from
One side to the other
As you twist your head
Gives a feel
That someone down
Is eagerly waiting
To collect the pearly
Drops of water
That drain
Through the hair.
You are slowly
Moving out
For want of time
And maintenance
I doubt, in the years
To come, if people
Will nourish such long hair
And I am sure
They will miss
Something to cherish.
