Ghost

Wander the city like a ghost

Fading, barely there,

Passing over the world unnoticed

Letting it slip through me

Physically powerless

Yet totally and completely free

A ghost, a mind without matter

Not bound by life's hush bush

Or sicknesses and bodily needs

A ghost misunderstood

On this polluted earth

Crowds of hollow people

In empty shells

Bunch of rotten souls

Chasing momentary pleasures

And fake sensations

Blind inside, open wide eyes

Selfishly in quest of a fleeting sweetness

Oblivious, Meaningless

I wandered this hell

Like a ghost

Alienated, disregarded

Left alone to observe

Secluded, invisible

Nothing but a ghost

Evading dirty eyes

Accountable to no one

Wandering free

Entire being set apart,

Gifted with peace
