Paper Boats!

I come from school

Soaked wet and cool.

Shoes all muddy,

Wading through the puddles.

Gazing up, at the sky

My heart jumps a million times

To see sails playing hide n seek in the clouds!

I am not alone in this wonder delight,

Friends too gather and all declare...

Why not have paper boats to match!

I choose the colour red to make a boat

And inscribe neatly, ‘My red paper boat’.

With a whistle and Ready, Steady, Go...

In the running stream our colourful boats go.

Red yellow green and pink boats

Float along ,doing Rock and Roll

It meandered to the right

It meandered to the left

Time rolled by, voicing rejoicing

As our paper boats bob ahead!
