Longing Profound

Now here..now there

Wispy clouds hover across

Play hide and seek

With winding roads

The mystical light of dusk

Takes a cue from

The game innocuous

So neatly perches

On tall pine and cypress trees

Yet dares take eyes off..

Fluttering site of prayer flags

Soaring to the tune of wind

Vie to touch hues of vermilion

So do patches of tender green

Sensible move of mellowed sun

Blurs outline of

Range of mountains

Less visible now become

Contours of pathways..

Tone of darkness echoes..

Fills surround sound

Night stealthily creeps in

With less of prose

More of longing profound.
