Sunshine years untouched by stress

Splash in puddles enough to enthrall

Spring of life in full swing

Conspicuous by absence of gall

I am trying to retrieve my innocence

Lost in multiplexes mobiles and malls

In lives tailored by over ambitious parents

In burden of bag in media glare

Inadvertently killing innocent years

I am trying to revive my vibrant childhood

Buried under pressure to perform and excel

A childhood shrunk too early too soon

I want abundant fragrance and celebration

I want respite from grind and frustrations
