Girl Child Day

We are celebrating world's girl child day,

In a world where female foetuses are killed,

Even before they are born.

We are celebrating International girl child day,

In a nation where a mother bitterly cries,

After realising that she is a mom of a baby girl.

We are celebrating girl child day,

In a place where a family chooses the life of a baby

as he/she is a successor of their family;

When the doctor says we can save only one life,

Either mother or a baby in a maternity ward.

In a parallel universe,

I wish there would not be any necessity,

"To promote the right to take birth or the right to live for a girl child."

"Hope that is a place where woman is allowed to be a woman."
