Time Waits For None!

Heavy grey clouds thundered with a warning,

Giant waves splashed ashore paying no heed,

Seagulls frolicked, rocks continued yawning,

Wild thoughts cropped up, as useless as the weed!

I stumbled upon memories of past,

That left my desperate heart cold and sore,

I glanced behind, saw sandy expanse vast,

Heart winced as its every chamber tore!

 Footprints in the sand washed away by waves,

But none could smudge the prints etched in my mind,

Mind wrestles with the brain, for you my heart craves,

 A precious gem, you were one of the kind!

Come close to me, let our souls breathe as one,

Alas! Vagaries of time wait for none!
