Once Journalism was a passion, done with soul.

There are visuals to make an impact,

There is proof to make history,

There are ways to capture the crime.

There are ink and paper to cover the truth.

There are no souls to make an impact.

The power of money overwhelms the paper,

The power of entertainment hypnotizes the viewers.

Sensation and ratings rule the industry.

The journalism is no more of investigation; they have become creative writing.

The stories and celebrity news becomes trending.

Blame is not with the industry, its subscriber delight,

As subscribers are no interest in the content and truth.

While batting for livelihood, some take it as a job, whereas others quit in search of peace.

A simple idea focusing the water bodies, and thermal energies could have protected the black girls.

Where technologies are there to reduce the crime, but there are no people who look a way to do it.

Let’s celebrate another Orange Day, in the memories of the black girl.

Social viral makes an impact if used rightly. Even if the media, shuts the voices, the investigative journalist, finds a way to reach the world, but are the readers ready to support them, will their work be shared?
