Aftermath
Aftermath
War cry hallucination,
Braving the storm, men in armour,
Besieged to fight the tornado to capture,
Forts and Kingdom lay across,
Semaphoring flags of victory and deceit,
Stratagem conspiring for a win 'o' win.
Kins and beloved shed blood in tears,
Agonizing, wailing, pain and fear,
Oceans of dead body lie down cold,
Encaged as history and stories untold,
Sheath of dagger and swords rest aside.
Speaking the tales of valour their masters did stride,
Sheer of excellence, peaked up the early battlefield,
The morning, next day wept on victory and failure,
It did not matter anymore who won, who lost,
The vultures fed on the carcass of the dead,
Bravery lay down on the blood soaked blanket of earth.
The sight binds with flinch n cringe,
Numerous tears shed blood impinged.
Aftermath! A heavy sigh,
Piercing agony, as martyrs rest with daggers, bid goodbye.
