To My Heart's Chosen One

To My Heart's Chosen One

Do you exist in real life? Like you do in books?

Are you really that fabulous? With charm and looks?

Gosh! You do haunt me. Every single day you do,

As I sit here pondering if I'll ever meet someone like you.

The Boy Who Lived. The Chosen One, and what you they don't call;

Messy hair, British accent, and the adorable glasses. Do I need anymore?

More magic than you own in your hands, you own in your eyes,

For with you I had my very first love-at-first-sight.

Your mushy cheeks, your cherry lips. Oh! Could I kiss?

But tell me Harry Potter, do you really exist?

11-years-old and already a vigilante. You clearly are a star,

With a dark past but a brighter future, the boy with the lightning scar.

12-years-old and fought off a basilisk and escaped death,

No wonder girls had a crush on you; I'd too had you let.

13-years-old and fought your biggest fear. Fear itself.

How can you be so daring? You do make me melt.

At 14, you fought off a dragon. God! What bravery!

Strong as stone and soft as mush; so brave but with chivalry.

At 15, you had your first girlfriend, breaking my heart;

You had your first kiss and I broke down hard.

At 16, you found the love of your life,

And it crushed my heart to see her as your future wife.

At 17, you fought and defeated the entire dark world,

A hero you became (you already were) to every living soul.

The bravest knight you were, without the weapon and armour,

But for me, you'll always be the heart-breaker and charmer.

You are so random, but you still stand out in the crowd,

Careless and deaf-eared to all the taunts and rumours aloud.

You are so full of flaws; imperfection at its best;

Stop being such a hero; give yourself a rest.

Disobedient and a rule breaker, but with such style,

You don't need magic to kill me; you already have your smile.

Oh, love! You fill me with such euphoria and bliss,

But tell me Harry Potter, do you really exist?
