From India To Rio

The Olympics were held at Rio.
Laurels for our country, 
Were brought by the Duo,
Who crossed every boundary.

 

Nothing was expected
But now she is respected. 
She climbed the steep slope, 
She gave us all hope.

 

With determination, she stepped into the ring.
She endured her opponents fling;
She was stronger than David and his sling.

 

'Sakshi' won the Bronze medal,
And up the ranking, India pedaled.

 

The opponents met.
She wiped her sweat.
With great zeal, she won a set;
And she posed a threat.

 

She may not have won the game,
Yet no one did blame.
She got the biggest fame
And the country echoed her name.

 

'P.V. Sindhu' walked with pride
To receive her Silver medal that shone;
And a smile on her face was worn.

 

Everyone worked hard day and night. 
But these 'Young Girls' proved their might. 
Bringing glory to India's name;
Adding, to the country's fame.
