The Mask Factory
The Mask Factory
I emerge from the mask factory
Faking a new me- signing a contract like Faustus
To sell more masks for the factory
I knew you were wearing- a flesh mask of wax
Which would melt and crumble in a fire.
I never dared to get closer lest
I would see your face- mangled, monstrous and burnt.
Now you have eaten my face,
Flesh and blood oozing out
I must crawl;
The vultures wait to feast on my eyes.
Now I emerge from the factory-
Like you did before me.
