You're Not Alone!

We got through it once,

We got through it a hundred times over,

And yet it often seems like

One mistake led to another.

There are times when no one's around

And often to ourselves, we say

With voices that echo in their own sound,

That there couldn't possibly be another way.

It's not just you,

I know because I feel it too.

It seems like the entire world's glaring at you,

Criticizing and mocking the things you do.

'We fall down but we learn to get back up'

These are just words that feel like a complete set up.

You lose belief, you lose hope,

But most importantly that fire in you hasn't woke.

You can't stand the things you once loved

The once loving hands have now given a strong shove

Moments lost in despair

And you have no choice but sit back and count those grey hairs.

But you see, these times come and eventually go

And although it may not just seem so

I am here to say

That you're raven presence really shows.

Sometimes when your are drowned by the voices in you're head

That remind you of the cruel things they once said,

Moments that make you weak

in you're knees

Just because there are too many

people to please,

It's important you know

That sometimes things just aren't for show.

The most precious moments in life

Aren't always for others to know.

All you need to do is believe,

Believe that you are much

more than what you think you are,

Believe that you aren't what they say you're worth,

Only then will you truly stand out and achieve-

Achieve not their praise or joy or satisfaction,

But rather freedom from living for others,

Achieve a new promising direction,

And be thankful for every moment spent in this world.

Giving up is quite simple,

But fighting back is what seals the deal,

When it's you against the world,

Trust me, victory won't even feel real

That's when you take the first step, and believe

That with time you will truly heal.

That is when you will finally achieve -

The joy of memories flooding back,

Of happy days spent before the slack.

The immense love that you once felt

And moments that once made your heart melt.

It's all worth it in the end

Just believe and take the first step

And with time

There would be nothing you can't befriend.
