Quest For Silence
Quest For Silence
As the day
Passes on
The cacophony
Of sound
Surrounds and surmounts me
No Solitude is not
What I want
But silence
Where the sounds
Of the machines
The motors
The TV and the outbursts
Of human are out
No, I am not seeking for
The eerie of silence
When some untoward
Happens
My quest for silence
Is to move
To the zone of silence away
From the horny noise
Wherein I can hear
The whispers
Of the little birds
The soft legs
Of the squirrel
Gliding through the plants
And the petty sounds
Of the nuts being broken
The Parrots around
Chirpings and the peacock
Humming a song from a distance
The cluck that the chicken makes
The chorus in the dawn
When the birds start their day
The whistle or the twitter of the birds
Or sometimes the hoot the owl makes
In the world of Cacophony
In the rumble of
Men and the machines
All have gone by unheard
And unnoticed
My Quest for silence continues
To hear the nature's beauty around
Which has been missing for long
