Solitary Beings
Solitary Beings
They will grow up as solitary beings
Hooked on to their TV screens
Wearing soda glasses before their teens
Cut off from outside remained unseen
They will grow up lacking social skills
Closeted in homes, playing video games
Moving fingers on the mouse pad
Tapping on key board; so sad
They will grow up not experiencing
Joys of outdoors, seasons changing
Strapped to seats, they'll be missing
Cycling down hills, into trees colliding
They will grow up without real friends
Communicating through the internet
Homes will not ring with laughter
Childhood robbed; technology taken over
