The Pleasant Surprise
The Pleasant Surprise
Starting my day
Beginning my normal routine
Missing my cousins
Wanting to meet them
Remembering what day it was
I get mixed emotions
Happy as it was my birthday
Sad since my cousins aren't here
As I come home
From my school
Feeling to retire for the day
I change into my pajamas
As I come outside
The doorbell rings
Wondering who it must be
I carefully open the door
Looking at the guest in front of me
I stand there still, shocked from the appearance
Of my dear cousins whom I missed the most
I let them in the house
Still shaken from what I am seeing
Feeling euphoric
From this pleasant surprise
