I Remember Last Night

I remember last night,

Flying across the cities; forgetting my plight.

And the sun was shining bright.

 

I remember doing great big things,

And it felt like I finally received my wings,

And I was free from the control of my strings.

 

I remember being independent,

I had no one around me being ascendant.

I had a voice to speak; to make an amendment.

 

I remember last night, being powerful.

I was everything I wanted to be awfully cheerful.

In my dreams everything was colorful.

 

I remember last night’s dreams today,

But I’m doing nothing but leaving them stray.

Perhaps I should go chase them today.
