God's Visage

Away  in  the  hills  yonder,

Nature's  beauty  made  me ponder.

Drifting  clouds  painted  the picture

Of  a  mother  and  child  in peaceful  slumber

Blowing  gusts  unite  leafy lovers

Kiss  they  must,  as  they huddle  together

Aerial  roots  of  the majestic  banyan

A  damsel,  drying  her silken  tresses,  long!

Clustered  together,  like  an umbrella

Sheltering  against  a  storm!

As  I  run  away  from  city sounds

Chirping  birds  bring  peace profound.

Fields  dancing  to  the  tune of  wind

Like  children  reciting  rhymes  in  sync!

Facets  of  God's  visage,  reflected  in  every  face,

Yet  we fail  to  keep  the  faith!!
